Storytelling has been a part of every generation.

Film is the storytelling format of ours.

Our generation is crying out for something or someone authentic. Unfortunately that desperate cry is being drowned out by the entertainment industry. For too long Hollywood has been the preeminent definer of morality in our culture. Now is the time for change as the industry enters a technological renaissance. Now is the time for Christians to powerfully use this medium to communicate the message of hope in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Film Camp will feature a number of challenging lectures and include hands-on experience in the art of filmmaking. In a whirlwind two days, we will cover the theological foundation for Christian art, the rapidly changing marketplace, and technical aspects of filmmaking.

In summary, Film Camp is an action packed, two day adventure where teens will learn practical and technical aspects of filmmaking… all while their parents attend the local homeschool conference!  What could be better?

“I’ve read over the materials about this new film camp and thought, ‘What a fantastic idea!’ My wife Danielle and I have known the Knudsens for more than 15 years and have been so pleased to see them exercising their passion for the things of Christ by engaging the culture of film-making. I fully expect that this film camp will provide a high energy, creative way for home-school students to learn discernment, creativity, and hard work while focusing on how to share their own stories as part of God’s Great Story.”

“I had the privilege of working with Daniel Knudsen and Crystal Creek Media as an actor in the film Creed of Gold. The production was organized, well run, and quite a lot of fun. If you want to learn about film making, I would encourage you to learn from this group!”

“Nearly 1 and 4 homeschool young men I meet have an interest in film production, which is really exciting considering the future affect they will have on our culture for the glory of God. I am excited about the role Film Camp will play in inspiring this next generation of cinematographers on a local level and believe that this will be a hot commodity at conferences.”

“Independent Christian film-making is taking the nation by storm. Many young people are wanting to learn how to get started in creating films, but they don’t know where to turn. Film Camp 2012 will offer a low-cost opportunity for homeschooled students to get practical first-hand knowledge from a team experienced in creating films from a Biblical worldview."
